      Hi Robina,

It’s a simple process dear. Pour little oil into a pan, heat it and then add rice and fry it for 5 to 10 seconds. Take out the puffed rice and put it in a baking sheet so that the extra oil is removed.

Good Evening. Please advise if the powder needs to be roasted for few minutes before adding water or can we directly just add water to it and cook for few minutes before giving to the baby. My baby is almost 10 months old. Also can i add little dry fruits powder to this dish?
    Thank you.

Hi dear, for instant powders you can directly add hot boiling water to the powder, stir well and leave it covered for 5 minutes. Yes you can add dry fruits powder for your 10 month old.

Dear Madhu, You can check our food chart of 10 months. And avoid any salt and sugar of any sorts till the baby turns 1 year. You can also refer to the article on weight gain on the site.

    hi,
This site is really helpful to mothers like me. great work.
I wanted to ask that if adding hot water is enough to these instant porridge powder than isn’t it the same method we are using to prepare satthu maavu or the cerelac powder which you have asked to cook for 10 min.
so will these instant porridge powder get cooked just by adding hot water? what the difference between two?

      Hi Srija,

In health mix there are many ingredients so they need to be cooked, for these instant porridges there are maximum 3 ingredients and since they are roasted nicely, they can be easily cooked with hot water

    Hi,
I have a question. what is the need to add roasted gram dal to make this porridge?
I mean, roasted gram is heavy and gassy in nature.
    Is this good for baby?
    Thanks.

Hi Priya, It is to add flavor to otherwise bland puffed rice porridge, you will be adding just a tablespoon to the porridge, so you can definitely give the baby
