Hi mam, you have mentioned it as Instant mix as all the ingredients are roasted already.

Is it ok to cook and serve it even thought it is roasted?

Hai, I have A doubt, doesn’t this porridge have to be cooked. Can I give my 5.5 month old daughter this wheat porridge just by adding hot water and not cooking it. Also is it OK to introduce ground nuts. She’s completing 6 months In 10 days. Will this porridge help in weight gain. She’s actually underweight

      Hi Joncy,

This porridge can be made just by adding piping hot water. It will get boiled as it’s already roasted well. This can also be cooked like porridge. It can be given for 6 months babies. Wheat porridge is not a weight gaining mix but it’s filled with energy-giving carbs and muscle building proteins. Please find weight gaining mix details in link below. Link – https://goo.gl/4mhX3Q

      Hello Purni,

Yes you can use Samba rava for making porridge. Just replace the broken wheat to samba rava and the rest of the process will be the same. Do cook it before feeding it to your child.

      Hi,

All the three ingredients takes different duration to become powder, so it needs to be powdered separately. The powder can be stored in an airtight container for 2-3 months.

Hey I have a doubt about this recipe as when I feed my lo (9.5 months old) daliya (broken wheat), I always roast it first and then cook it in the cooker for it to become soft and easy to eat. With your recipe, we are not really using a cooker but only adding hot water to it. Won’t it remain crunchy and not really soft for the baby to eat?

      Hi Tripti,

Even I had the doubt before doing it, but when you roast it in low to medium flame till nice aroma arises and till it is roasted to golden brown, half cooking is done in this method itself and then powder it nicely to a fine powder. When you add hot water, it gets cooked
