Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • ½ cup Pumpkin (steamed & mashed)
  • Water- as needed
  • Salt- a pinch (optional for babies above 1 year)
  • ½ cup Ghee

Instructions

  • Steam the pumpkin until soft and mash it smoothly using a mixer.
  • In a bowl, add rice flour and mashed pumpkin. Mix well and add warm water little by little to form a soft dough.
  • Add ghee and knead gently. Grease the idiyappam press and mould.
  • Fill the dough and press into idiyappam on an idli plate. Steam for 8–10 minutes.
  • Cool slightly and serve.
