Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp ragi flour
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup buttermilk (for toddlers/kids above 1 year)
  • A pinch of salt (optional, above 1 year)
  • ½ tsp ghee (optional, for added taste and energy)

Instructions

  • Mix 2 tbsp ragi flour with ¼ cup water to form a smooth paste (no lumps).
  • Boil ¾ cup water in a pan.
  • Slowly add the ragi paste into boiling water while stirring continuously.
  • Cook on low flame for 5–7 minutes until thick and glossy, stirring to avoid lumps.
  • Let it cool slightly.
  • For babies below 1 year: Serve plain or mix with breast milk/formula.
  • For toddlers/kids above 1 year: Add buttermilk, a pinch of salt, or ghee. Mix well and serve.
