Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Green gram / whole moong
  • 1/4 cup Fresh grated coconut
  • 5 to 6 Almonds or cashews
  • 2 Cardamom
  • Salt – a small pinch
  • 2-3 tbsp Jaggery powder
  • 2 to 3 cups Water
  • 1 tsp Sabja seeds or chia seeds
  • Ice cubes – optional

Instructions

  • Dry roast the green gram on low flame until aromatic. Allow it to cool slightly and wash it well.
  • Add the roasted green gram, fresh coconut, nuts, cardamom, salt, and water to a mixer jar. Blend everything into a smooth mixture using a mixer.
  • Strain the mixture using a fine strainer or muslin cloth to get a smooth and creamy drink.
  • Add jaggery powder and mix well. Soak sabja seeds or chia seeds in water for about 10 to 15 minutes until they swell.
  • Chill the drink in the refrigerator or add ice cubes if preferred. Add the soaked sabja seeds or chia seeds before serving.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy this refreshing healthy Green gram drink for kids.
