Heat the milk on a low flame. Add jaggery and mix until fully dissolved.
Dissolve agar agar or cornflour in water and add to the milk. Stir continuously until it dissolves.
Divide the mixture into two portions. Add cocoa powder to one portion and mix well (this will be the brown mushroom top).
Pour the cocoa mixture into a bowl to form the mushroom top.
Pour the plain (white) mixture into a small glass to form the stem. Let both set completely.
Gently demould and place the brown top over the white stem to form a mushroom shape. Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder on top for added flavor and visual appeal. Milk pudding recipe for kids is ready now!
