Bruschetta Recipe for Kids

Ingredients

  • 1 French loaf or bread of your choice
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 to mato finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers finely chopped or boiled sweet corn, chopped zucchini, brinjal
  • 1-2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder
  • olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven at 180 deg Celsius for 5 minutes.
  • Mix 2 tbsp olive oil, salt, 1 tsp black pepper powder and herbs.
  • Cut the loaf into slices and brush the slices with the olive oil mix.
  • Grill the slices for 7-10 minutes or till they are crisp.
  • Heat oil and saute garlic and onions.
  • Add the tomatoes and cook. Once done add all the vegetables in turn and cook till a bit soft.
  • Add all the seasoning. You can also add tomato puree if you like.
  • Spread the topping on top of the grilled bread and garnish with a sprig of coriander.
  • Serve on its own or with any dip of your choice.
