Ingredients

  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Grated coconut - 1 cup
  • Homemade khoya - 200 g
  • Dry fruits powder - 2 tbsp
  • Pineapple - 1 cup
  • Organic brown sugar or coconut sugar - 1 cup
  • Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Saffron - 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add grated coconut and sauté for 2-3 minutes without changing color.
  • Add khoya and mix well.
  • Add dry fruits powder and saute till it gets mixed well.
  • Add diced pineapple and mix well.
  • Add turmeric, elaichi powder, saffron.
  • Add coconut sugar and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Cool slightly.
  • Grease modak mould with ghee on all the sides.
  • Fill the mould with stuffing and spread evenly.
  • Gently unmold the modak.
  • Healthy & tasty pineapple modak is now ready!
