Pongal Recipe for Babies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • ½ cup moong dal
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Jeera
  • ¼ inch ginger grated
  • Curry leaves 1 sprig

Instructions

  • Soak rice and moong dal for half an hour.
  • In a cooker, heat the ghee.
  • add the jeera and let them splutter
  • Add the grated ginger and curry leaves and sauté for a minute.
  • Add the rice and dal
  • Add 5 cups of water
  • Allow 4 to 5 whistles on medium flame.
  • After it cools, remove the curry leaves, mash and serve.
