Apricot Jam Recipe for Children

A healthy and Nutritious jam from dried apricots that can be used as spreads fro dosas, rotis and sandwich

  • 500 gms Dried apricots
  • 1 apple
  • ¼ tsp Lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
  • Almonds extracted from the apricot seeds cut into silvers


  • Deseed the apricots and wash them. Soak them in enough water for 3-4 hrs
  • Once the apricots swell, mash them well using a fork.
  • Cook on a slow flame with the water& apple continuously stirring the mixture.
  • Once the mixture begins to leave the sides of the vessel, remove from the flame and add the almonds
  • Add ¼ tsp of fresh lemon juice and cinnamon powder. Mix well and cool.
  • Garnish with almond slivers and serve warm or cooled
  • Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator for further use.
