Missi Paratha

Kids love variety, and one way to take a break from boring chapathis is with this healthy and yummy Missi Paratha!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp gram flour
  • 1 tsp carom seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup boiled moong daal
  • 1 onion
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp garam masala

Instructions

  • Grind onion and ginger together. You can also add a green chilly if you want to.
  • Add all the ingredients in a bowl and knead a dough as for a chapati. Keep the dough in the fridge for at least 15 minutes so that it becomes stiff and easy to roll.
  • Take a small portion of dough and roll it into a paratha of your desired shape.
  • Cook it with ghee on a tawa till both sides are cooked.
  • Serve with curd or any raita of your choice.
