Sweet Pongal Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice
  • ½ cup moong dal
  • Jaggery syrup to taste
  • Ghee – 3 teaspoon.
  • Elachi powder – ½ teaspoon

Instructions

  • Wash and soak the rice and dal for 20 minutes.
  • In a cooker, add the rice and dal with 5 cups of water and cook on a medium flame for 4-5 whistles.
  • After the steam is released, add the jaggery syrup. Ensure it is smooth and without lumps.
  • Add the ghee and mix well. Garnish it with elaichi powder.
