Apple Ragi Porridge for Babies

Refined sugar and salt are not recommended for babies under 1 year, but they can still have naturally sweet dishes like this Apple Ragi Porridge for babies.

Ingredients

  • Homemade Ragi flour - 2 tbsp or you can buy our homemade Sprouted Ragi Powder
  • 1/2 sweet apple
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • water as required

Instructions

  • Wash, peel and cut the apple into small cubes.
  • Grind the apple cubes to a fine puree. For small babies, it's recommended to steam the apple first and then puree it.
  • Mix the ragi powder with water and ensure that there are no lumps.
  • Place the ragi mixture on low heat and cook slowly.
  • When the ragi is completely cooked, add the apple puree and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Add the ghee and turn off the flame. Serve warm.
