Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Brown Rice Flakes
  • 2 cups Milk boiled and still hot
  • 1/4 cup Sugar or as required
  • 1/4 cup Chopped nuts and raisins
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder

Instructions

  • Heat ghee in a non stick wok . On a low to medium heat, fry the brown rice flakes until fragrant.
  • Add 2 cups of boiled , hot milk to the roasted flakes.
  • Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the flakes are cooked thoroughly and the milk is considerably reduced.
  • Add sugar followed by the nuts and raisins. Give a quick stir and cook for another 1 minute.
  • Turn off the flame. Add the cardamom powder. Mix well.
  • Serve the delicious Brown Rice Flakes kheer hot or cold. You can garnish with some more chopped nuts if you like.
