Sweet Corn Fritters

Sweet corn fritters are crunchy bites with heavenly taste, which can be served from toddlers to elders.

  • 1 cup boiled sweet corn kernels
  • 1/4 cup chickpea flour
  • 1 tablespoon rice flour
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • Rock salt to taste


  • Boil the sweet corn kernels either in a pressure cooker, open vessel or in a microwave.
  • Add the boiled sweet corn to a grinder jar. Add little water and make a coarse paste.
  • Transfer this sweet corn paste to a mixing bowl. Add all the ingredients except ghee and mix well.
  • The batter should be thick but of dropping consistency.
  • Take spoon full of the batter and add it on a heated skillet. Make small fritters similarly with the rest of the batter.
  • Drizzle ghee and cook the fritters on medium heat until they turn golden brown from both sides.
  • Serve the fritters warm with ketchup or dip of your choice.
