Dry roast the urad dal and whole ragi separately on low to medium flame.
Allow it to cool down in a plate.
Transfer the roasted ragi and urad dal in a grinder jar and grind to a fine powder. Store this cereal in an air tight container.
Method to prepare porridge using homemade ragi urad dal cereal.
In a sauce pan take 1 cup water.
Add 1 tablespoon ragi urad dal flour to it and whisk well .
Now transfer this sauce pan to stove top and cook the porridge on low to medium flame for about 10 minutes.
Keep stirring the porridge while cooking to ensure it does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
Put off the flame. Add a pinch of cardamom powder and give a quick stir.
Allow the porridge to cool down a bit and serve.
