Instructions

  • Place the egg in a sauce pan. Cover it with water by 1 inch.
  • Cover and allow the water to boil over high flame.
  • Now set the timer and allow the egg to hard boil for 7 minutes over medium to high flame.
  • Put off the flame. Remove the egg from water with a slotted spoon and transfer to a bowl of ice cold water to stop cooking and to cool it to handle.
  • Peel the egg. Cut it into half and scoop out the creamy yolk. Mash it and serve immediately or add little breast milk to the mashed yolk before feeding to your baby.
  • For babies above 8 months, egg yolk can be added to a buttered pan and cooked from both sides and cut to bite size pieces and served as a finger food to the baby.
