Ingredients

  • Chutney Powder for Babies
  • Roasted Gram/ Pottukadalai – 1 cup
  • Pepper – 1/2 tsp.
  • Jeera – 1/2 tsp.
  • NOTE: Add salt for baby above 1 year
  • Carrot Chutney for Kids
  • Chopped Carrot - 1 cup
  • Urad dal - 1 tbsp.
  • Channa dal - 1tbsp.
  • Pepper - 1/4 tsp.
  • Jeera - 1/4 tsp.
  • Ghee - 1/2 tsp.
  • Tomato Chutney for Kids
  • Oil - 1 tbsp.
  • Chopped Tomatoes - 2
  • Garlic Clove - 1
  • Chana Dal - 1 tbsp.
  • Jeera - ½ tsp.
  • Chopped Onion - 1
  • Salt
  • Curry Leaves - 5
  • Mustard - ¼ Tbsp.

Instructions

  • Chutney Powder for Babies
  • Dry roast all the ingredients.
  • Let them cool.
  • Grind them into a fine powder in a blender or mixer.
  • Chutney powder is ready.
  • Store in an airtight container for 3 Months.
  • Mix with Little Ghee and serve.
  • Carrot Chutney for Kids
  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add urad dal, channa dal and saute.
  • Add pepper and jeera.
  • Saute till golden brown.
  • Add carrot and saute.
  • Add water, Cover and cook till it becomes soft.
  • Transfer to grinding jar, add water and grind well.
  • Carrot chutney is ready.
  • Optional: Temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Tomato Chutney for Kids
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add channa dal and saute till golden brown.
  • Add garlic and onion and saute till translucent.
  • Add tomatoes.
  • Cook till tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  • Let it cool.
  • Transfer the content into grinding jar.
  • Add water and grind well.
  • Tomato chutney is ready.
  • For Tempering
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Add in chutney.
