Kids Friendly Chinese Fried Rice Recipe

A great way to make fussy toddlers eat vegetables

Ingredients

  • 1 cup steamed rice
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 carrot finely chopped
  • 8-10 French beans finely chopped
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 2 capsicum chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • In a wok add oil
  • Saute ginger and garlic.once the raw smell is gone add onions.
  • Saute onions to a light brown colour.
  • Add beans and carrots.
  • Cook till slightly done.
  • Add capsicum and cook.
  • Add salt, black pepper powder and soya sauce.
  • Keep the veges a bit crunch
  • Cook rice separately and spread them in a plate with fork. (see notes as how to cook rice).
  • Now add the cooked rice and toss well.
  • Your fried rice is ready.
  • Garnish with a sprig of coriander leaves.

Notes

How to cook Rice
Soak 1 cup of rice for 10 minutes
Boil 2 cup of water with a tsp of ghee and a pinch of salt.
Add rice to it and cover with a lid
Cook till rice is cooked well and water evaporates
