In a mixing bowl take sattu. Add about 1/2 cup water to it and whisk well.
Now add the remaining 1 1/2 cup water followed by black salt, cumin powder, black pepper powder, chopped mint leaves and lemon juice. Give a good stir.
Pour into serving glasses, garnish with lemon wedge and serve!
Do not replace the black salt with ordinary salt as it gives a distinct taste to sattu sharbet.
Fresh coriander leaves may also be added along with mint leaves.
Traditionally, finely chopped onion and minced green chili is also added in this sharbet. I have not added here, as it is to be served to kids. You may add onion though as it gives a bite to the sattu sharbet.
