Paneer Cutlet/Tikki Recipe

Cutlet or tikki is one of the most favorite snack for all ages. In our recipe we have made the tikki with panner, carrots and potatoes. Yes, our paneer cutlet/tikki recipe has the best calcium rich “paneer”, vitamin A and anti-oxidant rich “carrots” and vitamin C and potassium rich “potatoes” in it. You can add any vegetable like beans, beetroots, sweet potatoes etc. This recipe is quick to make, healthy and extremely yummy as well. Tikki can also be used as a patty in homemade burgers.

Ingredients

  • Carrot – Half
  • Potatoes – 2 small,
  • Corn Flour - 2 tbsp.
  • Ghee/ Butter - 2 tsp
  • Cumin Powder – A Pinch
  • Paneer – 50 grams.
  • Water – As required.

Instructions

  • Boil or pressure cook the potatoes till it is soft cooked and remove the skin.
  • In a bowl, mash the peeled potatoes well by using a masher or a fork.
  • Mash till it gets completely mashed without any lumps.
  • Grate the carrot and cubed paneer well with the help of a grater.
  • Add cumin/jeera powder for seasoning.
  • Mix well to form a dough.
  • Now take a small portion of dough, press it using your palm and make patties, repeat the same with the entire dough.
  • In a small bowl take 2 tbsp. of corn flour, add water and mix well.
  • Heat a pan and add some butter or ghee.
  • Now, dip each patties in the corn flour mixture and place it in the pan.
  • On medium heat, pan fry the patties till it attains golden brown color by flipping occasionally.
  • The paneer cutlet/tikki is now ready to serve.
