Wash and soak koda millet and moongdal for 1 hour.
Heat a small pressure cooker with ghee and add pepper, jeera. Let it splutter.
Add curry leaves.
Add ginger, turmeric and saute.
Add moong dal and saute.
Add Kodo millet / Varagu and saute.
Add water and bring it to a boil.
Pressure cook it for 3-4 whistles in medium flame.
Heat a tadka pan with ghee.
Once the ghee is heated, add cashews and fry it till golden brown.
Add the ghee fried cashews to the Pongal once pressure is released from the cooker and mix well.
Yummy & healthy millet pongal for kids is ready to serve.
