This exam season, give your regular breakfast a protein boost with this yummy and nutritious Moong Dal Cheela Recipe!
INGREDIENTS
¼ cup Split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal)
1½ inch piece Ginger roughly chopped
5-6 cloves Garlic roughly chopped
1 Onion roughly chopped
Salt to taste
¼ tsp hing
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp coriander powder
Ghee to shallow fry
METHOD
Soak the moong dal in water for about half an hour. Drain and grind with ginger, garlic, onion to a smooth batter. Add all the seasonings.
Heat a tawa and grease it. Pour a ladle of batter on the tawa and spread round to make a thin dosa.
Drizzle a little ghee over the cheela and cook on medium heat till one side is done. Flip over carefully, drizzle a little ghee and cook till the other side is done too.
Serve with chutneys of your choice.
