This exam season, give your regular breakfast a protein boost with this yummy and nutritious Moong Dal Cheela Recipe!
INGREDIENTS
  • ¼ cup Split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal)
  • 1½ inch piece Ginger roughly chopped
  • 5-6 cloves Garlic roughly chopped
  • 1 Onion roughly chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp hing
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • Ghee to shallow fry
METHOD
  1. Soak the moong dal in water for about half an hour. Drain and grind with ginger, garlic, onion to a smooth batter. Add all the seasonings.
  2. Heat a tawa and grease it. Pour a ladle of batter on the tawa and spread round to make a thin dosa.
  3. Drizzle a little ghee over the cheela and cook on medium heat till one side is done. Flip over carefully, drizzle a little ghee and cook till the other side is done too.
  4. Serve with chutneys of your choice.
