Pongal Recipe for Babies

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup rice
  • ½ cup moong dal
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Jeera
  • ¼ inch ginger grated
  • Curry leaves 1 sprig
METHOD
  1. Soak rice and moong dal for half an hour.
  2. In a cooker, heat the ghee.
  3. add the jeera and let them splutter
  4. Add the grated ginger and curry leaves and sauté for a minute.
  5. Add the rice and dal
  6. Add 5 cups of water
  7. Allow 4 to 5 whistles on medium flame.
  8. After it cools, remove the curry leaves, mash and serve.
