Chickpea rice for babies

A healthy lunch option with a yummy blend of rice and legume! Our chickpea rice for babies is a quick yet wholesome recipe for babies above 10 months.
INGREDIENTS
  • Chickpea - 2 Tbsp
  • Rice - 2 Tbsp
  • Garlic chopped -1 clove
  • Jeera powder - ¼ tsp
  • Pepper powder - ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Ghee - 2 tsp
METHOD
  1. Wash rinse and soak chickpea for 2 to 3 hours.
  2. Wash rinse and soak rice for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat ghee in a cooker.
  4. Add garlic and saute.
  5. Add jeera powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder.
  6. Saute.
  7. Add rice, chickpea and mix well.
  8. Add water.
  9. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
  10. Mash and serve warm.
