Savory Oats Porridge for Babies

Oats porridge is a great meal for babies, but not all kids like sweet porridge. Try this savory oats porridge for babies who like a little spice in their food!
INGREDIENTS
  • ¼ cup quick cooking oats
  • 1 ½ cup water
  • Pinch of Turmeric powder
  • ¼ tsp of roasted Cumin powder
  • Pinch of freshly crushed black pepper powder ( optional)
  • Salt to taste
METHOD
  1. Put the oats in a saucepan and add water to it.
  2. Add turmeric powder and cook the mixture on a medium flame for about 7-10 minutes or until the oats are cooked. Season the porridge with roasted cumin powder, black pepper powder and salt.
  3. Mix well , cook for 1 minute or so and put off the flame.
  4. Serve plain or add any vegetable puree to this savory porridge depending on what your baby likes.
